Review Guidelines

Who can write a review

Anyone who personally used the business for a wedding or wedding-related event: the couple, a member of the wedding party, or an immediate family member who dealt with the business directly.

Employees, owners, competitors and anyone with a commercial interest may not review a listing.

What makes a review publishable

First-hand experience, described specifically: what you booked, what you paid, what was delivered and how issues were handled.

No personal data about staff or other guests, no discriminatory language, no threats, and no allegations of criminal conduct without documentation.

Verified booking badges

A Verified Booking badge means a moderator privately confirmed a contract, invoice or booking confirmation matching the business and date. Documents are never published and are deleted after verification.

Reviews without a badge are still published; they are labelled Unverified customer review so readers can weigh them accordingly.

Ratings and averages

An average rating is only displayed once a listing has at least three published reviews. Below that we show the individual reviews without an average.

Business responses

A business may respond publicly once per review. Responses are moderated to the same standard and may not disclose private customer information.

Disputes and removals

A business may report a review it believes breaches these guidelines. We re-examine the review, may request evidence from both sides, and will publish the outcome as a moderation note where appropriate.

We do not remove a review solely because a business disagrees with it.

Incentives

Offering discounts, refunds, gifts or upgrades in exchange for a review is prohibited and may result in a listing being suspended.
